Eddie Murphy and new wife split after two weeks - January 16,2008
LOS ANGELES - Comic actor Eddie Murphy and his new wife Tracey Edmonds have split up just two weeks after their romantic wedding in French Polynesia, People magazine reported on Wednesday.

The star of "Shrek" and "Dreamgirls" and Edmonds, a film producer, exchanged their vows on a private island off Bora Bora on Jan. 1.

Under U.S. law, the couple needed a ceremony on U.S. soil to make the marriage legal.

But Murphy, 46, and Edmonds, 40, told People in a statement they would not do that and had decided to remain friends.

"After much consideration and discussion, we have jointly decided that we will forego having a legal ceremony as it is not necessary to define our relationship further," the statement said.

"While the recent symbolic union in Bora Bora was representative of our deep love, friendship and respect that we have for one another on a spiritual level, we have decided to remain friends," it added.

Murphy, 46, was divorced from his wife of 13 years, Nicole, in 2006. They had five children together. Last year, he fathered a daughter with Melanie Brown of the Spice Girls, but did not acknowledge paternity until four months after the baby was born.

Edmonds split last year with her husband, R&B singer/songwriter Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds. They had two sons together.

Amy Winehouse returns from a holiday with her ex to her 'furious' husband Blake - January 7,2008
The furious husband of troubled star Amy Winehouse is demanding and explanation after discovering that she jetted off for a break in the sun with her ex while he languished behind bars.

The 24-year-old singer has been relishing the sand and surf with her former flame, music manager George Roberts, during her winter holiday in the sun-drenched Caribbean.

The news of their holiday apparently made husband, Blake Fielder-Civil, furious.

Blake, 25, who is on remand in Pentonville prison for alleged assault and conspiracy to pervert the course of justice, was already said to be jealous of Amy's close relationship with George.

Amy prepares for a tearful reunion with her husband as she jets back to England but a friend of the Balke said: "He is furious she was with George while he was locked up.

"She has lapped up the sun while he's been on his own feeling miserable.

"He doesn't like her friendship with George as it is. Being in jail, he feels more and more detached from Amy.

"He also wants an explanation, but he's desperate not to lose her."

It has recently been reported that the jailbird has been put into solitary confinement after guards discovered his had been drinking homemade prison hooch and making calls on a banned mobile phone.

It was recently claimed Amy wants to start trying for a baby with her husband as soon as he comes out of jail.

A friend of the singer said: "On her last prison visit she told Blake that she wants to try and get pregnant as soon as she can."

Speaking to The People the source added: "She reckons it will pull them together as a family and help them focus their lives on something positive."

Other reports indicate Amy will be cleared of her own part in the alleged plot to pervert the cause of justice for which Blake is currently on remand.

Friends said that George, who lives with his girlfriend in East London, was with Amy for the first part of her holiday. She is now staying at singer Bryan Adams's house in Mustique.

Amy and Blake were rarely seen apart before he was jailed

"Amy loved having George on holiday with her," a source close to the drug addicted singer said last night.

"She absolutely adores him and they had a great time larking around in the sun.

"She has been speaking to Blake when she can and making out that she has not been having a great time.

"She doesn't want to rub it in that she's having fun while Blake's in a cell.

"The truth is Amy and George have been having a blast. They used to date and had a very passionate love affair. They are still very close, Amy wouldn't have invited him otherwise."

Amy and George, who works for a music-management company in Central London, were briefly linked two years ago. They were photographed kissing passionately in the back seat of a car at an after-party following the Brits.

"George has been a rock for Amy over the past few months," adds the source.

"They speak all the time and are incredibly close."

A spokesman for Amy last night confirmed: "They're old friends and they met up on holiday."

Hulk Hogan tells wife to keep hands off his money: report - December 3,2007
ST. PETERSBURG, Florida - Professional wrestling and reality TV star Hulk Hogan has a message for his estranged wife, who filed for divorce without telling him first after about 24 years of marriage -- hands off my money.

Linda Bollea filed divorce papers on November 20 against Hogan, whose real name is Terry Bollea, seeking an unspecified amount of alimony and child support for their son, 17-year-old son Nick, as well as custody for the teenager. They also have a daughter, Brooke, 19.

But according to the St. Petersburg Times, Hogan, 54, has filed a counter-petition in Pinellas County Court in Florida, saying his 48-year-old wife was capable of supporting herself and helping with child support.

Hogan said the couple's assets, including two homes, and their liabilities should be divided equally between them, and that Nick, who is legally a minor until his 18th birthday in July, was old enough to decide for himself where he will live.

Nick Bollea was arrested November 7 on reckless driving charges for an August 28 accident in Clearwater, Florida, that left his passenger, John Graziano, 22, in critical condition.

The newspaper said court documents showed the couple separated about a month after their son's car accident.

Hogan and his wife appear on the VH1 reality show Hogan Knows Best with their two children.

McCartney upset with Jagger for criticising Linda - November 26,2007

Beatles legend Sir Paul McCartney was upset when his friend Mick Jagger, lead singer of the Rolling Stones, criticised his late wife Linda's musical talent.

McCartney had taught his wife Linda, a photographer, to sing and play the keyboards and she eventually joined his band Wings. However, fans and critics alike have dissected her contribution to music, contactmusic.com reported.

'(The criticisms were) like oil off a duck's back - but harder to shift. You know, it wasn't easy. But she was tough. The thing is we wanted to be together and we said, 'What right has anyone got to say we shouldn't be together in a band?' And the world seemed to think it was its affair. So we had people like Jagger saying, 'He's got his old lady in the band, oh f*****g hell.' I know Mick, he's sort of a mate, you know. I would think, Oh, f*****g thanks a lot tosser,' McCartney said.

The couple broke up in April, but discreetly resumed the relationship after a few weeks.

The Telegraph reported Prince William complained the paparazzi "aggressively" pursued the couple following their dinner Thursday. England's Press Complaints Commission issued warnings to the paparazzi expressing concerns about harassment of the royal family.

Juror deliberations began last week regarding an inquest into a car crash that killed Prince William's mother, Princess Diana, after a paparazzi pursuit in Paris in 1997.

Kate and Sienna in catfight - September 26,2007
Kate Moss and Sienna Miller reportedly had a blazing row at a friend's wedding reception.

The supermodel is said to be furious about her Welsh actor friend Rhys Ifans' rumoured romance with Sienna and her displeasure came to the boil at the bash on Saturday.

Kate, 33 - who arrived at the party in London with new boyfriend Jamie Hince and best friend Sadie Frost - was reportedly livid when Sienna, 25, turned up with Rhys.

The two women reportedly spent the early part of the evening exchanging evil glares across the dancefloor but after a few hours of drinking they decided to confront one another.

A fellow guest is quoted by Britain's The Sun newspaper as saying: "Kate accused Sienna of stealing her style. She was ranting on about how Sienna was trying to steal her lifestyle and her friends too.

"It was really cutting and everyone was listening to them.

"A few drinks had been sunk by the time Kate said it and Sienna plucked up some courage too. She gave Kate as good as she got."

The rowing pair were pulled apart by Sadie - who was once married to Sienna's ex-fiance Jude Law - who told them to show some respect for the newlyweds.

The onlooker added: "Sienna was in the mood for carrying on the fight but Rhys persuaded her to call it a night."

Sienna was first linked to Notting Hill star Rhys last month after the pair were photographed on holiday together.

Britney and illusionist beau Criss Angel spent the night together at Las Vegas hotel the Luxor after a busy night out flitting from one Las Vegas night spot to another.

Perhaps worringly for Angel, Britney's fashion sense appears to be catching – or is it vice versa?
The two were seen heading to Palms Casino with matching crucifix pendants looking surprisingly well considering they had been out partying until 4am the previous night.

The pair spent the night partying with rap artist P Diddy at Caesar's Palace.

Brad - who now lives with partner Angelina Jolie and their four children, Maddox, six, Pax, three, Zahara, two and 15-month-old Shiloh - says he handled their subsequent divorce as best he could.

He added to America's V magazine: "I don't know how better to have handled it. My view was, this is no one's business in the end - at least in matters of the heart. So you need to protect all involved as much as possible. I don't know if that cooled things off or exacerbated them, but it was a thing I felt justly about at the time. Again, the thing guiding me then was you don't know how many days you have and you need life to be everything you want it to be."

The Fight Club star also revealed the "magical" time he had when Angelina was pregnant with Shiloh, their only biological child.

Amy Winehouse loses it on stage in Cornwall - July 20,2007
It should have been one of the finest weeks in an already extraordinary career.

Favourite to scoop an unprecedented second Mercury award with a critically acclaimed album riding high in the charts, it might have been hoped that newly-married Amy Winehouse was basking in the glory of her richly-deserved success - both personal and professional.

Yet appearing on stage before a sell out crowd at The Eden Project this week, she cut a tragic and forlorn figure.

True, many of the 6,000 faithful who had gathered in the chilly Cornwall night were just glad she had turned up.

Fears of a no show were running high after the singer cancelled a string of high-profile performances in recent weeks leaving thousands of fans bitterly disappointed.

Yet few could have been prepared for what happened next.

After a competent start, her performance went rapidly downhill.

At times she appeared on the brink of tears, hitting herself in the face with her microphone as the lyrics to her songs seemed to slip her mind.

F**k it, f**k it, f**k it" she screamed at the audience before turning tail and quitting the stage leaving her band to keep what remained of the show together.

The explanation, according to her management, was that Winehouse was merely "ring rusty" after not having played for the two weeks since she unexpectedly dropped out of the T in the Park festival in Glasgow.

A source at her record company Island explained yesterday that she had been under doctors' orders to take a break after becoming exhausted by the tough touring schedule to promote her new album Back to Black.

But being spotted drinking in a Camden pub when she should have been on stage in Liverpool, did little to ease the fears that have left many asking whether Winehouse is coping with the fame her considerable talent has earned her.

Others were even wondering whether her live career was finished.

She is due to perform this summer at dozens of sold out concerts and festivals in Britain, Europe and North America.

At 23, her dissolute lifestyle and uniquely striking appearance - the back-combed beehive and sailor's tattoos - have made the girl from Southgate a ubiquitous figure in the showbiz columns of the popular newspapers.

A history of manic depression, self-harm, heavy drinking and eating disorders have only re-inforced the perception of the tragic chanteuse - an altogether darker image, some say carefully cultivated, since the release of her second album.

According to industry observers she has now supplanted that other great modern day rake and last minute no-show merchant Pete Doherty in the affections of the paparazzi photographers and their editors.

But it could have serious implications for her career, warned Paul Stokes of NME.

"She is in danger of getting in to that territory which Pete Doherty was in where people are more inclined to believe the gig won't take place when it will - even though Pete played a lot more gigs than he actually missed," he said.

Similarities between the two stars have not been lost on the wider world - both model for the same clothing label.

And as with Doherty, whose drug problems nearly destroyed his career, Winehouse has also struggled to cope with her addictions.

Yet she has also put the experience to good artistic use, not least with the single Rehab in which she describes her refusal to seek treatment for drinking.

But her problems with alcohol are legend.

There have been drunken appearances on The Charlotte Church Show and an hysterical performance on Never Mind the Buzzcocks, though these earned her as many fans as detractors.

But her alleged behaviour has not always been so amusing.

There were reports of an assault on a fan after a concert and another on a guest at her album launch party.

"I have a really good time some nights, but then I push it over the edge and ruin my boyfriend's night. I'm an ugly drunk, I really am," she said recently.

Her relationship with Blake Fielder-Civil has also provided plenty of gossip fodder.

Having admitted she would beat him up while drunk, the pair were eventually reconciled after spending a turbulent year apart, marrying in a low key ceremony in Miami, Florida in May this year.

Concerns over Winehouse's mental state surfaced again shortly before the wedding when she was photographed at a resort in Miami Beach sporting what appeared to be a zig-zagging mass of scars on her right arm.

She admitted self-harming in an interview with Q magazine: "It's a funny thing, a morbid curiosity. What does that feel like? 'Ow, that f**king hurts.' It's probably the worst thing I've done."

During another interview with the US magazine Spin she carved the words 'I love Blake' into her stomach.

But many hope that beneath the increasingly troubled public mage of the jazz diva a more confident and robust private character lurks.

"I don't think we are at the crisis stage yet," said Paul Stokes.

"And the good thing for Amy is that she has got plenty of time on her side."

Moss brings in security guards to fend off Doherty - July 5, 2007
Moments after chucking out Pete Doherty’s belongings from her house, a furious Kate Moss has now hired new security guards to keep the rocker miles away.

The supermodel, who is said to be devastated after learning about Pete’s infidelity, has brought in new security guards so that the Babyshambles frontman can't get anywhere near.

Friends of Kate revealed that the relationship is over for good and expressed their happiness at the separation which comes after Kate lost patience over Pete’s brushes with the law and his fling with a South African model.

"They had some terrible slanging matches over the weekend, some of the worst of their relationship. Kate is absolutely furious. She hates being made a fool of and gets incredibly jealous. She just won't stand for infidelity,” the Mirror quoted a source, as saying.

"Pete is in pieces. He adores Kate and the lifestyle that goes with being her boyfriend. He has messed her around before but she has always taken him back. But for the first time, it seems Kate really means business,” the source added.

Pete, who is due in rehab on July 16, allegedly spent the night with a South African brunette called Lindy last Thursday following a fight with Kate.

The rocker met Lindy at London's Crystal nightclub and the pair were seen "kissing and cuddling" as they drank champagne, before leaving together at 2am.

The pair reportedly spent the night at Pete's friend's house, where they "disappeared into a bedroom together".

Eva Longoria and Tony Parker have joint bachelor party - July 3, 2007
Eva Longoria and Tony Parker are planning a joint pre-wedding party in St. Tropez before their Paris nuptials this weekend.

The Desperate Housewives actress and basketball star are to marry in Paris on July 7 and have decided to dispense with the usual bachelor and hen parties, instead opting to hold a his-and-hers' celebration at an exclusive VIP location in the idyllic French resort.

One organiser said: "The plan is for his friends to have one-half of the club and Eva's party to be on the other side.

"Eva arranged all the wedding details. But Tony has had the idea of having a bachelor party in St. Tropez for a very long time. He first started talking about it last fall."

Guests including Jamie Foxx and Parker's brothers, T.J. and Pierre will be entertained by hip-hop artists Cut Killer and New York's MC Big Ali, and American DJ Jean Roch.

Parker - who had a hit rap record in France, Balance-toi - will be headlining a rap concert in Marseilles on June 29, and is likely to perform at the bash himself.

The couple are then expected to spend a few days in St. Tropez before heading to Paris for their big day.

A representative for Eva has refused to comment on the party.

Angelina Jolie 'floored' by Brad Pitt - June 25,2007
Tomb Raider star Angelina Jolie was left floored after her first meeting with Brad Pitt because she thought he'd be no more than a good pal to joke around with.

However, the Hollywood beauty quickly fell in love with hunky Brad while on the set of Mr. & Mrs. Smith.

Brad, who was married to Friends star Jennifer Aniston at the time, obviously felt the same way, as the couple are now happily shacked up and slowly building up a brood of children.

Angelina tells style magazine Marie Claire, "I wouldn't have, from a distance, said, 'That's a man who would be an amazing, dedicated father,' or 'That's a man who truly loves helping people or whom I'd love to talk politics with'.

"He's a lot more than people assume he is."

Angelina also credits Brad for helping her overcome dark moments in her life - just by comforting and listening to her.

She adds, "I've had that problem in my life, where if I get emotional, I tend to just go (and) sit by myself. But he is a great listener, and he has given me wonderful advice."

Meanwhile Jolie says the whole world feels like her "family".

The actress feels a connection to people "around the world" and this sparked her decision to adopt three children.

When Angelina was asked if seeing displaced families in refugee camps inspired her to adopt, she said: "It might be part of the reason my kids are from some of those countries, and were on their own. I feel very close to children or people around the world and when I met my kids, they were, to me, extraordinary - and felt just like family. And that's how I feel about the world and other people's kids."

Angelina, who adopted her first child, five-year-old Maddox, from Cambodia, says she was destined to raise him.

She told CNN's Anderson Cooper: "I fell in love with the people of Cambodia and I was sitting with a little kid playing blocks and feeling like my son was somewhere there. And he was."

Angelina, who also adopted daughter Zahara, two, from Ethopia and three-year-old son Pax Thien from Vietnam, is looking forward to extending her family.

The Tomb Raider star said: "We're always thinking about adopting others, we fluctuate between like seven and 12. We're just making sure that everybody has enough time - it can take a full day making sure everybody has special attention.

"I only work sporadically now and when I do work, Brad's a great dad, so we take turns as parents."

Brad and Angelina also have one-year-old biological daughter Shiloh.

Christina Aguilera is three months pregnant - June 21,2007

Singer/songwriter Christina Aguilera is reportedly a three months expectant mum.

According to a Page Six source, the 'Stripped' singer has been announcing the arrival of her baby to friends.

"She's been telling friends, she has to be three months now, because she's announcing it, New York Post quoted a source, as saying.

Until now, the 26-year-old has been fuelling her pregnancy rumours by keeping mum about her expected motherhood.

Aguilera is pregnant with hubby Jordan Bratman's child, and the reports came out when the couple visited New York's Maternal Fetal Medicine Association, which is known for its state-of-the-art ultrasounds and expertise in high-risk pregnancies.

The 'Dirty' singer also looked to be donning a small bump while shopping in Soho.

The singer married marketing manager Bratman in November 2005 after dating for three years, and this will be the couple's first child.

Meanwhile, it is also being reported that actress Jill Hennessy and hubby actor/bartender Paolo Mastropietro are expecting their second baby.

However neither Aguilera nor Hennessy's reps have confirmed the reports.

Paris liberation bash planned - June 14, 2007
Paris Hilton's resolve to shed her dumb party girl image may be short-lived, with plans for a "welcome back from jail" bash planned for her release.

Hilton's family is reportedly busy planning a huge party for when the celebutante walks free.

Paris' billionaire father Rick has approached a number of top Las Vegas clubs, including Pure, the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, and the Palms, as potential venues for the bash.

Hilton's parents, visited her behind bars for the first time yesterday.

The hotel heiress spoke to her worried mother and father, Kathy and Rick, through a glass shield at Los Angeles' Twin Towers Correctional Facility.

She told them she was suffering from the cold and lack of sleep, but assured them she had got her appetite back and had eaten cereal that morning.

Emerging from their 30-minute visit, Kathy said: "It's tough in there. It's cold and she hasn't had much sleep."

Rick added it was "just good to see" his daughter, who is currently serving her 45-day sentence for driving with a suspended licence on the facility's medical ward.

Kathy insisted that despite the circumstances Paris "was very happy" saying: "She wants to just do her time and get on with it."

Meanwhile, it has been revealed the 26-year-old socialite has been dropped by her talent agency.

Endeavor representative Michael Donkis simply stated: "Paris is no longer a client."

The company would not divulge the reasons behind the move, which was announced in an email circulated around the agency the day a judge overruled a decision to prematurely release Paris and sent her back to jail.

The Beverly Hills-based agency had represented The Simple Life star since 2005.

Bodyguard spills beans on Lohan - June 11, 2007
Details of troubled starlet Lindsay Lohan's world of sex, drugs and scandal have been exposed by a former bodyguard.

Lee Weaver, who was responsible for looking after Lohan for two years, has spoken of his years of hell working for Lohan to British newspaper News of the World.

Weaver, 48, has dished the dirt on a series of shocking events involving the Freaky Friday star, some of which include:

Lindsay allegedly attacked a gun-wielding cocaine dealer for ripping her off.

Lindsay snorting drugs with socialite Nicole Richie in a ten-hour binge.

Lindsay slashing her wrists on one occasion, while sobbing that she "didn't belong on this planet".

Lindsay engaging in lesbian sex with scores of girls she picked up at parties - and even making a move on chart-topping singer Mariah Carey.

Weaver, who claims to have looked after some of the "wildest stars in Hollywood", says he'd never met anyone as "out of control" as Lindsay.

"She had a total death wish and took more drugs and drank more than anyone I've met.

Advertisement"I lost count of the times I thought she was overdosing and had to carry her out of parties.

"Every morning I'd breathe a sigh of relief she was still alive," he said.

The bodyguard says he decided to speak out about Lohan's hedonistic lifestyle after seeing pictures of drunken Lindsay pretending to cut a pal's throat with a kitchen knife in the News of the World last week.

And Weaver claims that Lohan's alleged cocaine addiction turned her into a "dangerous person to be around".

"In April she asked me to take her to her dealer in Beverly Hills. I knew if I refused she'd go alone - so I took her.

"He was waiting for her in some bushes. Suddenly she started screaming and punching him for selling her short.

"He pulled a gun. I got out and he threatened to shoot me unless I got her to back off - but she kept hitting him. Luckily he got distracted and I punched him down.

"I dragged Lindsay into the car and drove off but she was screaming at me to go back. It was like Pulp Fiction. I knew then she was just too dangerous to be around."

Weaver also reveals how he would often drive Lohan to join her pal Nicole Richie, 24, for drug binges.

"Nobody was as wild as Lindsay but Nicole came close," he says.

"Sometimes Paris Hilton would be there but the most I saw her do was drink and strip."

Lohan is said to currently be in rehab for the second time in six months after crashing her Mercedes into a tree.

More mind-blowing revelations about Lohan are set to be revealed in Weaver's soon-to-be released memoirs about his years minding stars such as Brad Pitt, Pamela Anderson and Robert Downey Jnr.

"You know someone loves you by the way he treats you and respects you. Me and Jay respect each other."

Jay-Z flew to London last night to watch Beyonce perform at Wembley on the latest leg of her UK tour.

Detox on track for Lindsay - June 4, 2007
Lindsay Lohan's estranged father says she suffers from multiple addictions, including alcohol and the painkiller OxyContin.

The 20-year-old actress is back in rehab after crashing her Mercedes, being arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and being photographed slumped in the passenger seat of a friend's car.

"I spoke to the people treating Lindsay, because I wanted to make sure she was getting the right care," Michael Lohan said. "And I'm satisfied they are doing the right thing for her, helping her detox from the painkillers. That's a very important step."

Keira Knightley's glass-throwing tantrums - May 31, 2007
Keira Knightley has confessed she likes to smash glasses when she is angry.

The Pirates of the Caribbean star says having a glass-throwing tantrum calms her down when she is upset.

Keira believes she inherited her raging temper from her father, actor Will Knightley.

She told Hello! magazine: "I am like my father. I have 'the Knightley streak'. He gets angry at inanimate objects. I find it therapeutic to throw glasses even if you have to spend the rest of the night on your hands and knees collecting pieces of glass.

"Whether you are frustrated, sad or drunk it works. It takes the anger away."

Keira, 22, also admits she is "a bit of a drama queen" and feels constantly insecure.

The actress - who recently confessed to be envious of The Gossip singer Beth Ditto's full figure - said: "Look up insecurity in the dictionary, 'For insecurity, see Keira Knightley.' Constant insecurities. But I'm 22 and my body is alright at the moment. It's not going to get much better. I know I might as well make the most of it."

Keira is currently starring as Elizabeth Swann in Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End.

Lindsay Lohan's vodka birthday - May 26,2007
Lindsay Lohan's 21st birthday party is set to be sponsored by a vodka company, despite the actress being treated in rehab for alcoholism earlier this year.

The actress' legal representative Mike Heller has revealed Svedka Vodka will be one of the sponsors of Lindsay's upcoming July birthday bash.

Heller told Us Weekly magazine: "This should be one of the best parties ever."

However, the star's representative is not willing to discuss her party plans, saying: "I am unaware of who is sponsoring Lindsay's birthday, as I am not the one planning it."

Lindsay - who reaches the landmark age on July 2 - checked into the Wonderland rehab centre in January, to be treated for alcoholism, following an all-night drinking binge at the Golden Globe Awards.

She is now a member of Alcoholics Anonymous, despite not yet being legally old enough to drink in the US.

Other sponsors include Las Vegas nightspots Pure nightclub, Caesars Palace and the Social House restaurant at Treasure Island, and the party is expected to take place in the city.

Lindsay's mother Dina recently confirmed her daughter is still attending Alcoholics Anonymous meetings.

Paris Hilton to get personal alarm in prison - May 24,2007
Paris Hilton is to be tagged with an alarm to protect her from fellow prison inmates.

The hotel heiress will be provided with a panic device giving her a 24-hour link to prison guards in case she encounters trouble when she begins her prison sentence next month, according to Britain's The Sun newspaper.

Hilton must report to Century Regional Detention Centre in Los Angeles by June 5 after she was found guilty of driving with a suspended licence.

As well as being tagged with an alarm The Simple Life star will be kept in the prison's 'special needs' unit, which is reserved for police officers, public officials, celebrities and other high-profile inmates.

The 26-year-old has made it known she is "really scared" by the prospect of going to jail.

Her sentence has already been cut from 45 to 23 days for "good behaviour", despite the fact that she has yet to begin serving it.

Hilton's mother Kathy called her daughter's imprisonment "horrendous" but added: "Hopefully young people who look up to Paris will learn from this."

WINEHOUSE FAMILY SHOCKED BY WEDDING - May 21,2007
British singer AMY WINEHOUSE's wedding was such a big secret she didn't even tell her parents.
The Rehab star exchanged vows with Blake Fielder-Civil on Friday (18May07) during a trip to Miami, Florida, but neglected to tell her family about the ceremony until the nuptials were over.

Her father Mitchell says, "We didn't know about the wedding until they phoned to tell us. To say we were shocked is an understatement.

"I was with Amy last week in Canada and she didn't mention it.

He adds, "I'm not angry, just a bit sad. It's not every day your daughter gets married and it's sad for her mum that she was not there. I would have liked to walk her up the aisle."

The pair are now planning a more formal wedding with friends and family when they return to their native England.
