June 4, 2009 - The screenwriter of the MTV Movie Awards has revealed that the infamous stunt between Sacha Baron Cohen and Eminem was staged and had the rapper's full consent.

The stunt saw Baron Cohen in the guise of his gay character Bruno fly over the auditorium on a wire and in an apparent accident land upside down on Eminem, with his bare buttocks right in the rapper's face.

Eminem's bodyguards roughly removed the actor and then escorted Eminem as he stormed out of the theatre.

The video of the incident became an instant internet hit, but Scott Aukerman, who says he was the head comedy writer for the awards show, said on his blog that 'the Bruno/Eminem incident was staged,' explaining 'they rehearsed it at dress and yes, it went as far as it did on the live show.'
