Brandy Settles Lawsuit With Crash Victim's Widower

Nov,13 2009-R&B singer Brandy has avoided a civil trial over a fatal December 2006 car crash by settling with the last remaining plaintiff in the case.

Awatef Aboudihaj died after her car collided with Brandy's Range Rover three years ago. The singer avoided criminal charges following a year-long police investigation, but she was sued by Aboudihaj's widower Marouane Hdidou, their two kids, and crash survivor Mallory Ham.

Hdidou was the last remaining plaintiff in the case after Brandy settled the other suits in July. She agreed to pay Aboudihaj's two children $300,000 each while Ham - who suffered facial injuries in the crash - settled for an undisclosed amount.

Hdidou rejected his part of a $1.2 million settlement back in February.

Terms of his settlement with the star have not been disclosed.
